According to official data released on Tuesday, the government received gross GST revenue of Rs. 1,51,718 crore in October, that is the second-highest amount ever after April this year.
For eight consecutive months, the GST monthly collections have exceeded Rs 1.4 lakh crore.

8.3 crore e-way invoices were created in September. Which is much more than the 7.7 crore e-way bills generated in August.
CGST totaled Rs 26,039 crore, SGST Rs 33,396 crore, IGST Rs 81,778 crore (including Rs 37,297 crore received on the import of goods) & cess totaled Rs 10,505 crore (including Rs 825 crore collected on the import of goods), which is the second biggest amount of cess ever collected, according to the data.
