Vedanta Group Aluminium announced on Wednesday that its Lanjigarh unit in Odisha now has an annual alumina refining capacity of 3.5 million tonnes. The company stated in a statement that its previous capacity for refining alumina was 2 MTPA.
The Vedanta Group company stated. That in addition to raising aluminium output capacity to 3 MTPA from 2.37 MTPA at present. It plans to further raise alumina refinings capacity to 5 MTPA.
John Slaven, CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, stated. We increased capacity, which improves our raw material security and lowers expenses for our aluminium smelters in Jharsuguda and BALCO.
