The country’s mines minister said in parliament on Monday. That a lithium block found previous month will be put up for auction in Jammu & Kashmir, India’s northernmost federal region.
Minister Pralhad Joshi stated, “The exploitation of lithium would rely upon the victorious auction of the mineral block,” adding that the Jammu & Kashmir government will choose the auction’s schedule.
The block is the country’s 1st know lithium resource, with anticipate deposits of 5.9 million tonnes.
