Foxconn, a key manufacturer of Apple products, is set to bolster its workforce and investment in India by the next year, aiming to lessen its dependence on China.

Expanding Operations

The company has been rapidly expanding its operations in India, focusing on establishing factories in the southern region. Currently, Foxconn operates an iPhone manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, employing 40,000 individuals.

Recently, the state of Karnataka announced substantial investments by Foxconn in projects for producing iPhone components and chip-making equipment.

Foxconn’s Chairman, Liu Young-way, emphasized their profound belief in India’s potential, stating that their multi-billion-dollar investment is just the outset.
